In the second debate, after McCain said health care was a responsibility, I told my wife, "Now Obama is going to say health care is not a responsibility but a right, and he will win the election."
He did, and he did. I don't know if that's really the reason he won, but he shouldn't forget he said that. We shouldn't let him forget.
There are two things he needs to do to keep his base, and health care is at the top of the list.
Letting the Justice Department do it's job and investigate the torture mess among other high crimes and misdemeanors committed by his predecessor's administration is the other.
